Some customers gave feedback that there is nothing appearing in the instructions of PCMTuner software when they use PCMtuner V1.27 to work on HYUNDAI. For example, one customer cannot read on Hyundai ACCENT 1400 MPI 100HP (KEFICO CPGSH1.26.1), as shown in the figure below.

 

In fact, for Hyundai CPGDSH ECU, PCMtuner Magic Car Tool currently only supports Module 61.

Besides, it also supports Kia/Hyundai SIM2K, EDC15/EDC16, EDC17, SIMK, Delphi MT38/86, 2.5L CRDI (DCM3.7AP), and Kefico/Denso.

 

Before operation, you’d better check if the ECU is supported by PCMTuner ECU programmer and know the correct connection method between ECU and PCMTuner hardware (via Bench, BSL, OBD or OBD-vr).

 

When using OBD or OBD-vr read/write functions in vehicle, it is advisable to use battery support. On some Diesel engines, it is advisable to use Scan tool and record any injector coding.

Not all OBD can be connected with breakout on Bench as they rely on other components in car such as immo to allow programming.

Most MED/EDC/MEG17 ecu that can be read in OBD can also be read in Bench with module 71.

Not all ECU’s support identification with OBD-vr, you may need to use scan tool to get ECU information to find ORI file.

 

Bench: direct connection to ECU header pins on bench

BSL: Connection to ECU and to PCB (ecu opened) (expert)

OBD: Connection via Vehicle OBD socket

OBD-vr: Connection via Vehicle OBD socket, Virtual read only, or write only
