Kess3 Update: Support Bosch EDC17C49 ECUs without Opening via Bench or Boot
The latest Alientech KESSV3 update expands ECU programming coverage for professional diesel vehicles equipped with Bosch EDC17C49 ECUs. It supports ECU reading and writing on agricultural machinery, telehandlers, and commercial vehicles powered by diesel engines ranging from 1.5L to 3.6L, covering models from 2009 onwards. This enhancement provides technicians with greater flexibility and more options for ECU tuning and programming across a wide range of professional applications.
The new BENCH protocol provides access to the ECU directly through its connector, without opening it.
The BOOT protocol provides direct access to the memories with the ECU opened, for more in-depth operations.
Both connection methods support cloning by transferring data from one ECU to another compatible unit. This solution is particularly useful for repair operations, expanding your options for working on numerous heavy-duty vehicles used in sectors such as agriculture and material handling.
Real benefits for your workshop:
- Access the circuit board directly with the BOOT protocol when necessary.
- Work directly through the ECU connector in BENCH mode, without opening the unit.
- Cloning available in both modes
With KESS 3, expand your options for working on off-highway vehicles from different brands and generations, equipped with 1.5, 2.3, 3.0, 3.4 and 3.6-litre diesel engines.
