Flex Update: Added Continental SID213 ECUs by Bench
KESS3 introduces a new BENCH protocol for Continental SID213 ECUs installed in Ford and Volkswagen commercial vehicles and pick-ups equipped with 2.0 EcoBlue engines from 2022 onwards. This update expands ECU programming capabilities, allowing technicians to perform operations directly in BENCH mode for greater flexibility and efficiency when working with supported vehicles.
The new BENCH protocol allows you to connect directly to the ECU connector without opening the unit.
This is particularly useful when the ECU has already been removed from the vehicle and complements the existing OBD protocol, which allows access through the diagnostic port.
