OBDSTAR MT200 is a portable and cost-effective handheld radio decoding tool to perform EEPROM read & write, code read & change & off and other functions by OBD or Bench for Ford, VW, etc. The Pincode of Radio can be queried by OBDSTAR APP (according to the SN of Radio). Here takes Ford 6000 CD Radio as an example to show how it works.

 

Preparation:

OBDSTAR MT200 main unita

Mini USB upgrade cable

120 ohm resistor

Jumper

Ford 6000 CD Radio

 

Operation guide:

The brand and model can be determined by identifying the appearance and label of the module.

Open OBDSTAR APP, tap Dash/Airbag/ECU/Radio icon, select Radio Pinout (MT200)>> FORD>> Visteon 6000CD (TMS470)

Then the related Pinout and radio ECU images will appear on the screen

The specific model can be identified by the appearance of the product

Follow the pinout to connect OBDSTAR MT200 Handheld Radio Decoding Tool and Ford 6000 CD Radio with jumper, and also connect to a 12V power supply

Note: For CANH & CANL, a 120 ohm resistor needed in series.

After connection, select FUNCTION>> OTHER FUNCTION>> Radio Code V30.01>> FORD>> Visteon 6000CD>> TMS470

Note: If the model is unknown, you can open the cover to determine the specific model of the module on the chip.

Then select BENCH

There are four functions can be performed below:

• Read EEPROM (24C16)
• Write EEPROM (24C16)
• Code Read
• Code Change

1.Read EEPROM (24C16)

Read EEPROM data successfully, enter a file name to save

For saving data, the OBDSTAR Mini USB Upgrade Cable can be used to connect to computer for transmission.

2.Code Read

Read the code is 1110

Input the related pincode on Ford radio

*Key 1 is for the 1^st digit of the Pincode, Key 2 is for the 2^nd, Key 3 is for the 3^rd, Key 4 is for the 4^th, and the Key 5 is for confirmation

It can be adjusted normally. Pincode verification is successful.

3.Code Change

Input a new code (i.e. 8051) and cofirm the value

Power off for 10s, then verify that the pincode change was successful.

Input the related pincode on Ford radio

It also can be adjusted normally. Pincode change is successful.
